Kanji Koohii Built-in Stroke Order Diagram (Greasemonkey script)

@HelenF

The userstyle I created does just that.

The code is as above. You take the element out of the flow with position absolute. It is then positioned relative to an "position:relative" ancestor, with css property left / top / etc.

A more generic approach is to target .cj-k since this class is applied to many kanji elements to hint font selection.

Stylish is an extension. Once installed, going to the page I linked above on userstlyes.org you click the "Install" button. Not much more to it. You can still customize the installed style.

Thank you. I had missed at least two important points : i) the page at userstyles.org has an "Install" button (I tried to download the code and import it by hand!) ; ii) There exists a version of Stylish for Safari too. I wrongly assumed, according to the Wiki page, that one had to use the Settings/Advanced tab to define the style.

Now everything works fine. Great!
Perhaps someone more knowledgable than me could update the Wiki page http://rtkwiki.koohii.com/wiki/Kanji_str...r_on_hover
to reflect these new instructions.

I tweaked the userscript to have it work with the refactored code, you can grab it from https://gist.github.com/jealie/7569590bc...13a4b9f6bc

I tested it on firefox (with greasemonkey) and chrome (with tampermonkey) and so far, everything works like it used to.

I just installed this, and it works great! Thanks jealie!

I jinxed it Dodgy  The Firefox quantum update seems to have broken it. Is there any chance you could fix it again along the lines of Greasemonkey 4 and Firefox 57?

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks mspertus for the pointer!

The new version at https://gist.github.com/jealie/7569590bc...13a4b9f6bc should fix it.

Stylish addon and Kanji Koohii - KanjiStrokeOrders font still works in Firefox 57.

This stylish addon switches font on mouseover, in Study page and flashcards.

Insallation After installing addon, you go to koohii page, click the Stylish icon in top bar, click "Find more styles for this site" in the dropdown. Pick the second style (by "fabd"), then you may need to reload the koohii page.

A Firefox bug currently prevents the installation of the script it seems. I'm not sure how to add it manually.

As an alternative, tampermonkey works just fine

A workaround for the greasemonkey/firefox bug pointed out is (1) to install a random script from another website (example: https://openuserjs.org/scripts/reek/Anti...iller_Reek ), and then (2) click to *edit* that script and replace its content by copy/pasting the code of the Koohii Stroke Order userscript.

After pasting the content, I could not find how to save the script. Only the "Save As" option is available and it opens a dialog box where I do not know which destination I should select.

What am I doing wrong ??

I type Ctrl-S after editing, and everything worked great. Thanks again, Jealie for an excellent fix.

Everything working now. I do not quite understand what I have been doing at some point. Thanks
