HALFWAY! Actually I got there a couple of days ago, I'm at 1090 now. I agree, I admire those who do 100 kanji a day, but I don't know how you guys do it.. When I was at 800, I tried doing 50 a day for 4 days, and now I feel like I don't remember a lot of it. :\
Anyway, 952 more!
I just finished today!
There's nothing wrong with a slow pace, and let's not forget that you're getting in more kanji reviews than those that are adding more daily.
20 may seem like a low number, but as long as you do a consistent 20 a day you're still making excellent progress.
Before I was where you were, I wasn't very consistent at adding kanji.. There were a few times where I went weeks, maybe even a month or more without adding any kanji at all >.< .. But somewhere around the 1000 mark, I worked with a lower number of kanji and really had a good pace going. Near the end I started adding about 25-30 each day and found it just as easy to remember.
I guess no one's asking for it, but I feel like putting it out there....
Make your stories one by one.. When that's done, go to the study section and try to recall them. Write them each down once or twice real quick.. Right before bed, glance at the study section once more and test yourself again very quickly.. No prob if you can't get it, just write them down anyway.. The next morning during review, the Kanji seem to come incredibly easily having just glanced at the new kanji the previous night.
