Oh man I've only just now realised that I also own this book... lately I tend to skip whole threads, so I didn't read this. I'm really sorry I didn't help!
Is there anything left to do? Is the proofreading over? Leave me something to do!

There's still proofreading to do. I really want to spend more time helping out here but I have so much crap to do, I haven't even been able to enter anything into Anki these last two days >_<

Check 1 is over : there are exactly 333 sentences in KM1kyuu 文法. ( 参考 、慣用 、注意
included)
The frame (the 333 slots in KM order)  won't move from now on : the only thing to do is fill the numerous holes (I didn't count but there are a lot of sentences missing or slightly different .There is also a couple of sentences that don't appear anymore. I didn't throw them away , I just put them aside in a special column ).
I'll put the result online (the frame)  by tonight . (google doc KM1kyuu spreadsheet is strange right now , so I work on my computer)

78 days left

Something really strange is going on with googledocs.. It seems that the KM2 sheet has only the first 200 entries (until #42B)!?
Does anybody have a copy of the old KM2 sheet on his computer?

I just took a look to 2KM page and it seems fine to me .
I can hand over my own version if the group has a problem but be aware that the format is slightly different as I did it on my own a while ago.

Make sure there is a problem before because I don't want to mess with the work of the group :if there are 2 versions online risks of confusion are very likely.

Thanks ghinz. It does seem to work properly again, must have been a temporary problem. Everything is back online.
Anyway I'll save a backup on my hard drive, lesson learned.
To all the KM1 folks: as soon as I'm finished with my KM2 quote, I'll join your proofreading effort.

BTW I was wondering : to take the test in japan I guess I have to apply  in japan ?
cause right now I'm abroad and it's extremely unlikely that I'll be back in japan by the end of the month....
so is there a way to apply from abroad ?

I'm pretty sure there is. A friend of mine did 1kyuu in Cairo (of all places). But he came to Egypt just a couple of days before the exam. If there is no JLPT office in your country, I think you could apply at the embassy.

Just for the sake of clarity I mean for the July session (which is specific to asia ). I know you can take the test abroad because I did for the 2kyuu test . What I mean is apply abroad right now , take it in Japan 3 month later.

But if that one's done already I can also get the 1kyuu one tomorrow. Just won't be able to use it myself...YET!!

I actually don't think so.  As far as I know the only way to apply for the JLPT in Japan (summer or winter) is to buy one of the JLPT packets for 500 yen fill it out and send it in (summer ones have to be postmarked by May 1st).  I couldn't believe that there is no way to register on the internet, but when I got there sure enough everybody had done it offline.

Unless the July session is also done outside of Japan in other parts of Asia, in that case I have no idea.

Can somebody give me access to the spreadsheet? Should I send proof of owning the book like we did for KO?

I'd also like access if possible. I have the book, and would also like to help out in any way I can if there is anything left to do.

Who should I contact for access?

Hi everyone,
I'd like to help in mining KM2kyuu as I planned to do it for myself!
How can I proceed?

ghinzdra, osakajin send me an email and I can add you to the google spread sheet.

It looks like a few people here are eager to access and even help on the spreadsheets, including me. I read you posted this earlier. Can we send you an email to ask for access of the spreadsheet? If so, what exactly should be in this email? A picture with the (which?) books? If not, can we email anybody else?
Cheers!

so... let's coordinate the proofreading of the remaining sentences. If each one of us does 10 grammar points we could finish this today.

Finished 81-99, corrected a few things. I'll do some more later if I can.

Most of the grammar points don't have the explanation in the "Notes" field. Is that another job for us?
And what about the kana pronunciation field? Shall we let anki do the job?

great job nac_est!
we are almost there.
The following sentences need to be checked:
1. 39-49
2. 50-60
3. 106-119
4. 121-131
5. 132-143

I'm going to do 50-60.

About the "Notes", I personally am not going to use them for SRSing. Just the sentences.
I'm not sure about the kana issue. All the vocabulary used in this book is standard 2kyuu vocabulary.

ikemasen, I didn't read your post completely, I jumped the gun and corrected 50-60.

243 - は is now が
271  - added a missing sentence (今度こそ試合に勝ちたい。) moved down the sheet one row.

Currently going through 106-119.
