not as of yet... it does work on Japanese cellphones though... i hope they build an iphone app for iKnow in the near future... you could always just use Anki on an iphone until then though and import iKnow's content to it..

Ha, I was hoping you'd show up with your mad list skillz. I'm disappointed, I was hoping I could cover all the readings with iKnow. It's not a big deal, it just would have been nice to complete the set up front and incidentally acquire frequent, contextualized vocabulary at the same time.

Ah--just occurred to me, between Anki's stats (show missing kanji or whatever), KO's Level 3 chart (sans readings), and iKnow's lists and impending 10k release, it shouldn't be too hard to gather any kanji that slip through the cracks. I hope. Or maybe Coscom will just try and integrate Level 3 with iKnow officially via Nukemarine's email, though I'm not sure they'd be happy without a model to monetize their efforts.

I've been trying to make a list, but I've run into a bit of a problem with sentences.

I mistakenly added the wrong audio to a sentence, but replaced it now. But I've found I have that incorrect sentence in the list of sentences, repeated 6 times. It doesn't seem to be attached to any items (there's no bolded items on any of them), just the same sentence 6 times.

Is there any way to delete these?

Um, not exactly.  They said the API is in place, but the iPhone version isn't spec'd out yet...  In other words, they haven't even started planning it.

However!

Also on there is a link to technohippy.net's iknow3g that will let you study your items on a 3G mobile device.

Sadly, the audio doesn't work on my Android phone.  However, the existing of an API makes me very hopeful...  I'm considering writing an app myself now!

Edit:  Unfortunately, the API doesn't yet have the call to change the study status of items, so you can only review from there...  You can't progress.  Bummer.  Also, it doesn't seem to care what list things come from (so long as you're enrolled in it), so you can't choose to just study an old list.

I am pretty sure they are not the same thing.  I believe they are named similarly but are products that are produced by two different companies.

I just looked at the living language website.  The iKnow Japanese transcripts are available there for free.  Here is the website:  http://www.randomhouse.com/livinglangua … DFs_r2.pdf

It doesn't have the same content as the iknow.co.jp website.

I must say that using iKnow's list on Anki in the last month has been very enjoyable lately. I like the time boxing, the stats, the ability to change my sentences (kanjify a few words), testing dictation and reading seperately, testing ALL my due cards without wading through 5 lists, having a reasonable faith in the SRS, etc.

The group support aspect of iKnow though I do miss. The act of playing catch-up to Hashiriya and Cracky encouraged me to find a great pace.

iKnow is still great, and is a perfect choice for many people. I can only hope that it's application makes the advancements in the next 18 months that Anki has made in the last 18 months.

I'll still be using it as a great way to share content.

i think i finally have to agree...iknow does start to get annoying sometimes during long study sessions... the daa-dum sounds are starting to unnerve me haha i really do love it's goal mode though but at the same time i do think a program like anki is necessary for long term memory... iknow is certainly good for quick-sticking things into your head though... i still enjoy my RtK lists that i have made on there... i might make the jump to anki when i begin the kanji odyssey lists...

EDIT: i just found out you can turn off the sound effects in the settings menu >_< that helped a ton
