Sadly it seems someone has hacked into the game .

Prin has 1 construction and 4294967295 gold.
OwNeD BiTcH has 13370003 constructions and 1337000000 gold.

I don't know why people waste their time doing crap like that. If they want to show off there computer skills so bad, they should make something decent rather than wasting time ruining the game for other people imo.

oh, don't worry about him - what is your name on there?

it might just be me being retarded, but the sound sometimes turns on when I turn it off? This is quite embarrassing when I play in a cafe.

This has happened to me twice, to corrobate what you said.

I think it happened after I had the AnkiEmperor thing in focus instead of the main screen of Anki and I pressed space/other buttons to start reviewing after a break and the buttons were sent to AnkiEmperor instead of the reviewing screen. However, I may be just guessing because I don't really remember.

Unfortunately it got much worse.

Some idiot created more than a thousand fake accounts with hundreds of buildings and ridiculous amounts of gold, and even deleted scores for legit users.

To the idiot lame who did it, congratulations! Now you can digievolve and try to steal candies from babies!

Hi,

thanks for the feedback and the issues with the sound and the mac problem, I will look into them as soon as possible.

About the highscore, I thought I could make it easy and get away without setting up a sign-up process and password for every user to use the highscore. But obviously it is too tempting for some people to "hack" a highscore, which is as difficult as creating a post in a forum :-)

Anyhow, I have cleared the highscore, it will fill itself again in the next days I guess. I'll have to think about some counter measurements. Until then we have to live with occational troll attacks.

Can you keep a backup of the scoreboard, so you can restore it after attacks like these?

It wouldn't surprise me that the one who attacked now would attack once and again.

Is it complicated to add mail confirmation, captchas and stuff like that?

The scoreboards have been unavailable since a couple of days ago. I hope they'll be back soon and no lame h4X0r will break them again.

BTW, I just added a new construction to Saitama, but mistakenly used the wrong image had to upload it again, would it be possible that you removed the wrong entry?

Also, it would be great if you could see construction's detailed info (bigger pic and description) before building them too.

I have delete the construction with the wrong image.

I have many things going on right now im my real life that I almost have no time for ankiemperor. If I have some time, I need to make AnkiEmperor compatible for Anki 2.0. I'll also integrate some more secure scoreboard then. I don't know however how long it will take. Sorry for that...

What you have created is truly genius. It would be great if this was expanded to have a battle simulation(similar to most text-based games) after you have constructed the city or country. Another idea is to have a card game battle simulation where the card characters level up in "training" by answering cards to get XP. When they reach a certain level they can go to certain areas on the map to battle(similar to Pokemon trading card game). The thought of having an Anki card game would be so sweet. Here are some examples.

Here is another idea. Maybe export the data somehow into an external rpg game?
We could use the yellow window to show the characters xp rising as you answer cards and when it gets high enough a launch game button appears for a battle.

This is a FANTASTIC plug in and everyone should know about it. It turned learning into a game.

Also It's good but I can see how long term it would be better if it was a bit harder

As one of the posters said before me a difficulty setting would be nice.

Also if you could include a difficulty setting name NINTENDO HARD in honor of the old Nintendo games for real gamer's

Let me preface this by saying how grateful I am to the creator of this plugin. It's been really motivational and fun to do Anki reps after I installed it!

I would enjoy the game a lot more if some kind of income system was created based off the buildings. For example, building a stadium in Saitima provides a revenue of 100 gold per 25 turns. I think this way, building constructions would have a bit more meaning. As far as the value of money, I think answering cards should still be the basic source of income, but income from building should have more weight as you get into higher levels (have more constructions.) It's just a thought, but I think it would be cool to get income from your buildings (From tourism, sales, etc.)

I'm jealous of you all. It never loaded properly on my system, so I patiently reverted to AnkiWarrior for the interim. (Those glorious victory sounds alone made my day!)

And then I made the jump to Anki 2. Noticing AnkiEmperor wasn't among the list of add-ons, I figured I'd chime in to ask if it's something we can look forward to. Regardless, thanks again for all the hard work!

So it took me all weekend (when I should have been revising for exams), but I ported AnkiEmperor to Anki 2!

Install
Unzip the file and put the contents of the folder into your anki add-ons folder.
It should look like this:

You can use your old save file from Anki 1 too. Look in your Anki 1 AnkiEmperor folder and copy ankiemperor.db to the Anki 2 AnkiEmperor folder.

Last edited = 22 April 2013. The add-on won't tell you when there is an update so check back here. If you update, remember not to delete your ankiemperor.db file.

I'll keep updating until Proxx takes over or ports it himself.
