Has anyone else noticed that How to Learn any Language is listed as a harmful site by Google the past day or so? Any ideas why? Just curious.

Website

Hmm, maybe it's hacked.

The Google Diagnostic page says this:

What happened when Google visited this site?

Of the 392 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 227 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. The last time Google visited this site was on 2012-08-01, and the last time suspicious content was found on this site was on 2012-08-01.

    Malicious software is hosted on 6 domain(s), including xinthesidersdown.com/, lasimp04risoned.rr.nu/, ctab59uwes.rr.nu/.

1 domain(s) appear to be functioning as intermediaries for distributing malware to visitors of this site, including xinthesidersdown.com/.

This site was hosted on 2 network(s) including AS8928 (INTEROUTE), AS9370 (SAKURA).

Thanks. The "suspicious activity 2 time(s) over the past 90 days" makes sense as it only began displaying the warning yesterday so that would mean 1x yesterday and 1x today.

Well, I'm sure the admin is aware of the issue and is working to sort it out. Thanks for confirming that it isn't just me.

I hope when they fix the site they give it a facelift too. Such an ugly forum....

Ultra-retro theme, no surprise it got hacked, even if they updated the forum software it probably made an attractive target.

I was wondering why HTLAL was suddenly AWOL now, so I decided to search Google for HTLAL and found this thread (had to register, but I'm studying Japanese now, so I probably need an account here anyway).  Hopefully it gets fixed soon or I might find myself going through withdrawal. tongue

There's a temporary replacement forum here: http://htlal.freeforums.org/ which seems to be fairly active.

Thanks for the link.  There is also more information on those temporary forums about the issue apparently it was infected with malware via SQL injection.  Fun...
