I was just wondering if anyone who has dyed their hair blonde noticed any difference in how Japanese people react to you? For example does the staring increase or more random people coming over to talk to you?

I've been wanting to go blonde for a while and on a spur of the moment decision went ahead and bleached my hair. I'm quite shy and don't particularly like people staring at me, so now I'm worried that this will increase =\

Yes people will stare at you more. If it looks natural, random people will try to touch it.

You don't like people staring at you and you live in Japan? I feel sorry for you. Unless you are Asian and can blend in better.

People will try and touch it? Oh dear =\

While I don't like people staring at me, you do get used to it, especially since the majority of staring people tend to be kids. I'm more worried about an increase in creepy men staring/coming to talk to me.

If you don't like it, you can always just shave your head completely. Nope, won't be getting stared at at all, then.

I've shaved my head a few times recently, but only because I had some cosplay appearances as Darth Maul. I could have used a bald cap, but the makeup looks better if shaved.

Get a tattoo. They'll hardly notice the blonde hair.
