In the study area, one is able to input the number or keyword into the search box, but not the kanji. It would be useful for me to be able to search by the kanji for when I come across kanji and I wish to bring up the study page for it but don't know/remember the keyword.

I also encountered another problem with the autocomplete feature in this box. I entered 'me' to look up 僕, pressed enter and was taken to measuring box. I had to enter me again and scroll down 8 entries or so before I found what I wanted. If I type 'me', I think the kanji for 'me' should be at the top of the autocomplete list rather than the current ordering.

I would also like search by kanji.
It'd be nice for those who haven't done RTK III.

It'd be useful for knowing if the kanji appeared in Volume I.
Sometimes I'd just like to know if the Kanji is part of the Jouyou Kanji
List.

Thanks.

The "me" issue was already addressed somewhere. If you type "me<space>" in the search box, it takes you straight to it.

The autocomplete entries are already consistently in frame number order, surely it would increase confusion to start making exceptions?

If you install rikaichan, pressing a shift key while pointing at the kanji will give you a popup with the Heisig number (among other things), you can then just enter that number.

I love using rikaichan for looking up new kanji. I never knew about the shift-hover trick. Thanks, laxxy!

If rikai-chan doesn't satisfy one's Heisig-frame-lookup desires, there's always my humble index page at http://ziggr.com/heisig/ . If I can't find a kanji on that page, it's not in RTK I.
