OK - looks like somebody in Japan donated the missing €115 to reach the next milestone of €1000!

I guess We made it to €1000 without Wulfgar's additional €150!

Thanks folks and thanks to the unknown donator!

I suggest we now focus on €1100 even if it will be more difficult now that many people are hanging around taking a few days off...

I am fighting major software problems here and it is getting difficult to go online, but I'll try my best.

You're fantastic, and the hero of Kohii!

Now I get it, you were the donator Fabrice talked about, so in other words the total after your €150 donation is exactly

€1050

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

The next year in koohii>

truando becomes koohii's official donation collector

Nuriko becomes truando's back-up when truando sleeps

Blahah becomes the prophet of new donations to come

Wulfgar is the person with a biggest wallet here in koohii, the big boss.

Fabrice can sleep and do the stuff he likes because monetary problems are taken care of by these previously mentioned members!big_smilebig_smile

And as the effect of all this Koohii becomes a worldwide big network with flashy and innovative ideas of Fabrice.

I like your idea jettyke, with slight alterations here and there.

The next year in koohii:

We all are invited by our now rich ファブリス who has built a nice roman villa.

Truando becomes the official treasure fund director ripping out as much money from other members as he possibly can.  At night he can be our entertainer.

Nuriko becomes the butler or maiden, or both, since job offers have to be targeted at both male and female applicants nowadays. For all our guests shall be happy guests.

Wulfgar being Wulfgar he becomes owner of the real world 漢字 ・ 喫茶店. Where everyone is welcome and invited to smoke a fine Brazil or two.

Blaha will work in Wulfgars 漢字 ・ 喫茶店 as the Waiter with a warm smile during the week. And on weekends he can be our fortune-teller. He can foretell the lotto numbers of the sunday drawings for you can't have enough money.

I being myself and everyone else invited over will have to take care for the hard part. We will have to enjoy all the riches that the others provide. It is a hard life but someones got to do it. smile

That's such a nice story...the mystical 漢字喫茶店 with mystical smoke...

Someone should write a book named "漢字クローニクル" or "Kanji chronicles".

Greetings from Brussels,

No, I don't think he is. One 20 € and one 115 € donation are from members whom I can match to forum emails. They didn't post in this thread.

To be honest I started loosing the count as well so I checked PayPal donations since Dec 1 to now (as of writing). Including latest Wulfgar's 150 € raise and Shakunatz's 15 € (THANK YOU's!), excluding 2 sponsors; and adding ~95 € from wire transfers (out of memory, can't verify now) I think that's ~1180 € which is actually pretty close to your total smile

I'm thinking of upgrading to diamond teeth, what do you think? I hear it cuts through anything! ^^

Yes. Sometimes I use it to keep the "new posts" tracking on my admin account, or I'm too lazy to copy/paste the kana name to login when on another computer smile

EDIT: Hah! Actually I see the registered date on "fuaburisu" is even earlier. That's because those were the earliest RevTK accounts, copied over on the forum when the forum was added about a year later. My forum admin account is only as old as the forum.

OK, I updated the numbers in my first post.

Hey, wulfgar is joining us on street level, that's cool...

This has become quite a thread, something we can be proud of, me thinks...

Oh, and Fabrice, since you seem to hang out here occasionally, the update with the new Joyo additions is really great! Thanks a lot, it's really helpful.

I think you should talk Heisig into using the same numbering, it makes so much more sense than changing all the numbers in the book which will be a nightmare with all the different editions floating around.

jettyke and nagareboshi, very creative write-ups~ smile

Fabrice - very happy to see the new 常用 additions - makes me really want to actually do RTK3 now... all combinations of radicals that are new to me are bringing me back to the RTK1 days. Thee nostalgia!

To everyone else, especially to those who haven't had a chance to donate yet - it's never too late! wink

Hello there, I'm going to the mountains for a couple of days and I'm not sure if I have internet.

So I sign off for now, and if you don't hear from me within 3 days, please call the police or/and the FBI.

Glad if someone could take care of business while I'm gone. Thanx!

Yeah, you deserve some rest.
Just wanted to say I'm impressed, even if I don't really like the method, the results are here.

Congratulations bro! smile

(I'm also glad you removed the mother Theresa avatar -- don't know why, but it creeped me out...)

No matter how high the goals we set, we reached them. Isn't that wonderful? There are still chances to participate. Remember, any sum goes!

If that's ok with you both, I could post a little something on the site news Friday to help reach the finish line smile  I know there are quite a few users who don't visit the forum, or not very often. I didn't want to post earlier because truando started it, but now he's reached the target and some more wink. What do you think?

WOW, I'm really late for the party!  You're right Fabrice, thanks for posting the news on the site forum or else I would have missed this completely.  I remember how I've been trying to learn kanji since I was 15 via rote memorization and that never went very far (I learned like 25 of which I have mostly forgotten after the next month).  Then came the discovery of Heisig's method, and I worked through the first few chapters or so before I discovered this site and THANKS THE HEAVENS for your pre-made flashcards! (and now that I"m on part 3, the stories shared!)  I just wanted to say thanks Fabrice for the site and also a big thanks to all the members of koohii for making this community what it is (wanting to help everyone, share ideas and help people who get stuck hehe).  It's kinda nice knowing there are other people going through RTK and sharing the same experiences ^_^

Anyway, please another E10  to your total tongue

Thanks Miyumera! Since truando's gone, we all gotta step it up! xD

Let's give him a heart attack (theoretically...not actually) when he comes back!

Anyone wanna donate 5 euros? 10? 1.77? 3.66? Anything goes, guys!
