Hi,
tried searching for posts on the subject since I assumed there will be some but wasn't able to find any (Maybe I just suck at searching :p).

I am reviewing using anki for more then a month, but I'm not sure I'm doing it right.
The problem is - I rely on stories quite a lot. I have them as a part of the card that doesn't show up, so if I can't write the kanji using the keyword I press edit (on ankiDroid) and read the story.

For new Kanji's I read most of the stories, and this makes sense since reviewing them is where I really learn them.
for young cards I guess I need to read ~60-70% of the stories (maybe less and I'm just paranoid). Is it really ok? I found a site (AJATT) that claimed stories should be on the card, but I just don't feel like I really remember it.
Even for mature cards I sometime need to read them. I.E today I had to read the story for "Young", which I was able to do in the past without reading it and needing to read it really felt like a failure.

So, Is using the story a good idea? Or should I just get rid of it now (which will really hurt my retention rate and slow me down considerably, for obvious reasons)?

Also, on the same matter, how do you score cards?
As for now: if I solve it in any way I press "good" (If it immediately pops, for stuff like "person", I might press easy). If I get anything wrong - doesn't matter if I read the story or not, I press "Soon again".
I'm pretty afraid of pressing "Soon again" or "hard" because I'm afraid reviews will start piling up. I though about it and I think I will start being stricter on myself only after finishing with RTK (Is this a good idea?), doing something as follow:
"soon again" - any mistake.
"hard" - correct, but needed to read the story.
"good" - correct, but had to recall the story to myself (without any hints).
"easy" - correct, and instantly popping when I hear the keyword.

Wow, I write a lot without noticing...
