Has anybody here used vocaloid? I'm wondering if it is hard to use, if you need to be a musician, or if you can just get sound sample packs and mess around with it.

I was thinking you could use the sentences from your SRS and make songs out of them and listen to them for a fun way to get listening practice.

Thoughts?

If I remember correctly, Vocaloid costs money, while UTAU is free, so you might want to try out UTAU first.

You might want Voiceroid for that kind of thing. In my experience, Vocaloids "talking" just sounds like really bad rapping. Both programs are just vocals, so if you want to make a song you would need some other kind of music software, which I think would be more trouble than it's worth.
