Hey chamcham does iAnnotate allow to zoom out full page, using the canvas background on the sides if needed? I have PDF Highlighter which has an awesome summary list of all the highlighted notes, plus it can OCR, but the lack of full page view is a bugger (I much prefer not to scroll the page).

iAnnotate has "fit width" and "fit height", if that's what you mean.

"Fit Height" fits the whole page vertically. This is probably what you mean.

"Fit Width" fits the page horizontally. So the page is scaled to take the entire width of the screen. You likely have to scroll up/down in this view.

There's also a "Lock" option that keeps the page locked in place (i.e. you can only scroll up and down, but not left to right).

iAnnotate is probably my favorite and most used app on my iPad.

So are you happy about the resolution, how the japanese fonts come out?

Yes, very happy. The kanji and the furigana are very crisp and easy to read.

Thanks for the app suggestions and tips. I've been looking at PDF apps and I'm liking Goodreader. It lets you highlight and annotate and it can also fetch files from your OS X shared folders or SFTP. Pretty slick app.

@chamcham  Ah thanks. The PDF apps are quite pricey. Those euros add up quickly >_>  Can you get a list of all annotations in a PDF document?

@shinsen  Yeah Goodreader is well rated. I think I went for PDF Highlighter because I want the nice bookshelf like iBooks, with covers.

Actually I haven't found my ideal PDF app. If only Apple could add highlighting to iBooks, it's all I need. I don't want all the other options hmm  Some of these are very good but look like Microsoft apps. Ah well.

now just gotta save up the money......... ><

Remember to order some sleeping pills with your iPad wink

I used to go to bed with it but it wasn't such a good idea :p  Now I use an alarm app, and read my RSS half an hour or so when I wake up, so when I finally get out of bed I feel more awake.

iAnnotate User Guide is here:

Yes, you can see a list of your annotations.
The left navigator bar has a thumbnail view, table of contents view,
annotations view, and a search tool.

Btw recent iPad owners it's 4th of July sales smile  Real Racing 2 HD, Infinity Blade are 0,79 €.

Btw, if you can't wait for Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition, Avadon and Avernum are really nice oldschool RPGs on the iPad (and Mac, and PC). I'm trying to finish Avadon. There's barely anything like it on iPad atm. Oldschool isometric graphics but I really enjoyed the story and dialogues.

Crusader: No Regret and Crusader: No Remorse were very fun PC games.

Just bought Alien Blue, a Reddit client for iPad. Thought that might be another nice way of getting news, by following /r/iPad /r/iosgaming /r/Apple, etc.

Instead of appShopper I've switched to AppZapp HD, even better imho!

Thanks, that app looks nice. What do you like in it specifically over AppShopper? Oh I see, the News section is definitely a plus.

EDIT: The community feature is interesting! Might be a way to friend other RevTK users to discover Japanese related apps?
