hi there

I was wondering if there were any people here who are learning/have learned some Persian. Tell me about your experiences, it's pretty interesting because I can't find much on the internet about resources, experiences, communities, ...
Feels like exploring uncharted territory big_smile

I have some Afghan family that speak Persian, and there are quite a lot of Iranian immigrants where I live, so I think that I'll make royal use of that.

But just curious how other people started out on this.

Cheers!

I come from South Asia that has had a very powerful persian influence in the past. During the era of Mughal Rule, descendants of Genghis Khan that adopted Persian language and ways. However or whenever you learn Persian don't forget to read works of Allama Iqbal. He is a very influential poet of the modern era. Actually a thinker and philosopher, he used poetry to express his ideas.
