I'm on 1,300 as of today I'll finish by thursday tops.

Check out this video

I am the second person here to do it this way and I really think more people should try it. You'll finish in two weeks tops, no matter what frame you're on.

You can actually see a list of everyone on the site, and how many flashcards they've currently added, along with their last review time:

Except a huge fraction of us switched to Anki a long time ago. I only use this site for the forums. Probably ignore anyone who hasn't reviewed recently...

As for me, i finished RTK1 about a year ago i guess, can't remember. Took me ages because i did RTK lite (i did the JLPT2 list plus the 教育漢字, about 1100 in all), then learned a bunch of japanese (up to nearly N2 level), then came back and learned the rest. I'm somewhere around 2400 kanji now, the excess kanji i've encountered and wanted to learn. Interestingly, a good chunk of those aren't in RTK3... something to keep in mind if your plan is to plough through RTK3 after you've finished RTK1.

I'm still learning kanji at a slow trickle as i encounter them. Maybe 3 a week or so. I'm not aiming for a particular number, but i find studying the kanji does help me retain words.

Around 850 cards in and still a long way to go. I've been taking it slow lately. tongue

Just hit kanji 666 =P

Since the semester just finished, I'm hoping to devote some more time to RTK. I've been doing about 20 a day but I've been slowly increasing that. Ideally I'd like to do about 60 per day.

As seen in the member link above, I'm now at frame 1266 from 2200 (I'm doing the supplement as well).

However I'm doing it slowly and only add 10 cards a day (but have been very consequent with that lately), so I expect to be finished in March next year.
