I've finally added the last kanji into the SRS, and thus completed one of many sub goals. I believe this is the time to thank all of you who helped me getting here, even if you did it knowingly or not. Dr. Heisig, this wonderful site, and everybody who shared their stories, thank you. A special thank goes to those who posted in the encouragement thread. It is most appreciated.
It has been a most joyful adventure, and I had quite a lot of good laughs down the road. And also some visual images that I've tried my best to forget, but I just can't. (Such as the goatse man.. *shudders violently* A quick tip for the kids, don't look it up on Wikipedia if you don't know about it.).
I guess I spent about three months in total. Working diligently, reviewing every day, and dreaming about it at nights. It's such fun to compose stories and create entirely new kanji from known primitives when asleep!
Unfortunately, it wasn't until I was about three-quarters on the way that I realized the grand idea behind the book. Until that point, I had simply just 'accepted' the keywords, sometimes without thinking too much about giving it one definite connotation. After I found out what I did wrong, everything became such a joy. I'm confident my skills at creating memorizeable stories has really improved.
Again, thank you all. Walk with the SRS.
