There was a thread like this over 3 years ago but it only lasted for about a month, so instead of a 大resurrect I thought I could just make a new one. If this one will flop like the French military as well I don't know, but hey.
As the kanji suggest (no it's not ass grabbing), しりとりis the Japanese word-chain kind of game where the players take turn taking the last mora/kana of the previous word to challenge with a new one that begins with that mora/kana.
例: 花→名前→影響→運命→インドネシア etc.
(はな→なまえ→えいきょう→うんめい→インドネシア)
You can read the rules in the wiki link, but in short they are:
- Only nouns
- No repeated words
- No words ending with ん, as almost no Japanese words begin with it
We could have alternate rules, like in the case of the ん rule you could have it so that the next word simply starts with a な行 of choice, or like described here you could use the character before it (マクドナルド → ドラえもん → 萌え). We could also make it kanji based (we're supposed to be destroyers of kanji on here, right?) and have it like "日本語→語学→学問→問題" etc, but I thought this could be too difficult for any beginners or could make it so that we cheat with dictionaries too much, I don't know. We could decide that later if people want to, I don't even know if this game will see the light of day on this forum.
So for what it's worth I'm trying to get this on. Here we go.
