Hello everyone I'm starting RTK and I'm new to this site and mnemosyne. My 2 questions are as followed.

question 1.
How do I study and review cards past the 1st. review. I want to do a few repetitions but I don't know how to try again. The only ones i can redo are the ones I missed.

question 2.
I exported my cards from this site in .csv file format but I can't open the file with mnemosyne. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, and welcome. smile

About question 1: the SRS is here to help you store information in the long term memory. Doing a few repetition favors the short term memory, and therefore isn't a functionality provided by the system. You are supposed to only redo the ones you've missed. It may seem weird, but you'll get used to how efficient it is.

Welcome, and good luck with your studies. I hope you find this a useful site.

If you want to review cards a few times before submitting them to SRS, simply mark them as a fail. When you feel confident, you can pass them and let the algorithm take over.  I wouldn't worry too much about doing this however, cards come up for review very quickly (1-3 days) at the beginning; as you are probably finding out, if you don't remember them, they simply come upn again.

Not familiar with Mnemosyne, but it has had good reviews. Hopefully someone can help you.

I have read stories of members, who were using both the website and Anki to review the Kanji more often. You also don't have to fail cards. Aren't there any time settings for each of the buttons in Mnemosyne? If there are, set the initial interval to 1 hour, the next to 3, etc.

But it is really not necessary to do this, just trust in your faculties. You will see the Kanji so often, that it is only a waste of time, to review the cards numerous times, before spacing them out. The newest Anki version, which is still in development, will offer such a function. Meaning that before the cards go into the regular review cycle, you can review them a couple of time. But, again, you don't need to do this.
