I have bought a few books over the past year in Amazon Japan, I read them, enjoyed them and now they are just sitting at my desk taking space. Has anyone tried selling them back to Amazon? and how does it work? I wouldn't mind getting at least 50~60% back from them.

I don't know about your question, but I want to add that I hate amazon.

You can't bloody buy books in one shipping. Even if you buy two books from the same store, under the same account, and get it shipped to the same location, they still ******* send that shit in separate posts and charge you separately. Bastards. Sure they have to make their money, but why necessitate the idea of separate shipping? Stores would make a lot more sales if their book prices were a little higher and did combined shipping with the overall price being a little less than what you'd pay under the old system. Maybe it's just cause I'm out of the states so I don't get the benefit of it, but it's annoying I can tell you that much.

It might be Book Off, but their are companies in Japan that will take your used books as long as they are in good condition. I don't know how much they will pay you. Some might even come and pick the books up for you.

Book Off of course. I had it in front of me all the time and didn't think of it. I will take my stuff there to see if they offer good price. The books are practically new.

@liosama, If I can share my experience, here in Japan is the opposite of what you are saying. It's happened several times tat I don't select the expedited shipping option and still get my goods the next day, also, from time to time, some items buried in my shopping cart (I leave them there when I still haven't made up my mind about buying) get priced down (sometimes priced up as well but it seems far less common).

@bcrAn Did you end up trying Book Off? I am trying to remember the other companies. I keep on seeing Ecobooks, but I can seen to figure out the company.
