There was something Tokyostyle said in another thread about grabbing a grammar structure from a textbook and then searching for it in stuff you read out of interest instead of using the context-less example sentences in the same textbooks. Genius. I have really been struggling with retaining structures.
Now, if I can find interesting stuff to read in Japanese. Can anyone recommend a good Japanese blog*? I can't get enough of reading people's blogs.
*not about food or manga

I like personal blogs, nothing too informative or newsy. Anyone got anything they can suggest? A good source is Japanese people blogging about their travels overseas (as long as they are not foodies). That can be interesting, a different perspective on your home town, maybe.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Er, I meant is there any easy way to do some sort of electronic search to look for grammar constructs in a text? Perhaps some sort of regex-like engine that's aware of part of speech, conjugation, etc.

I haven't been able to try it out yet but the Natural Language Toolkit looks promising, especially if you read the examples in chapter 7 on chunking (link to full book).I found some japanese corpora here and some documentation specific for processing japanese.
