Hey there, I hope it´s ok to post this here. If not, feel free to tell me (well, I guess someone would do so anyway).

I´ll participate in the summer camp of my Uni´s circle from Sep 21st to 26th, but before that I´ll stay in Tokyo for two weeks. Since I didn´t have the time to plan anything and I´m alone right now, I´d like to know whether someone is in Tokyo and up for something. I think almost anything is fine, whether it´s walking through Tokyo or some other place or going out to eat or whatever. I´d just like to have company. ^^ If you´re interested, please reply here or send me a PM.

I am from Germany, 23 years old and male. I speak Engish and Japanese to a certain degree (I studied for one semester at Chiba University, and I could somewhat communicate with the people from my cirlce).

And please don´t send me replies like "You´re such a n00b not having friendZ in Tokyo, go find yourself some f4ggot LAWLZ".

Thank you.

Tobi

Where in Tokyo are you staying? I can make some time if you have any suggestion of what you'd like to do. Is this your first time in Tokyo? Have you been to all the sightseeing spots?

Edit: Well, I guess it's not your first time if you studied at Chiba University. Better learn to read smile Anyway, let me know.

Next weekend I planned to go to TGS, if its something you're interested we can meet up there. After that on 19&20 there are games in Tokyo Dome, Giants vs Dragons and Swallows. I've never seen a baseball match in my life so it seems a great place to finally do it. I want to see a good game and since Swallows are on top of Central Division I'm leaning towards Tuesday. I figure one week in advance should be enough for most people to make up their mind or make arrangements, so lets do this.

Anyone interested?

For general drinking activities we had a good thread here but it seemed to have died once everyone got to Tokyo, not very social bunch are we? wink

Oh there will be pics, tons of them smile But I really can't promise when they will land on Picassa, I have long backlog of galleries that desperately need pruning and captions... maybe I'll have time to do some of them on Friday.

I was planning to go to the Tokyo Game Show this weekend, too, but then I managed to score an invite to one of the Industry days, so I'll be going on Thursday for work, and avoiding the open-to-the public crowds. I love my job.

Don't judge me but I think about going to Candy Stripper 15th Anniversary Party, anyone want to back me up? smile

My main reason is I wanted to see some live music from Japanese artists I know & like but actually didn't have a good opportunity to do so and/or didn't push for it as hard as I should. I recently heard 走れ by 阿部真央 on the radio and it just blows me away every time I hear it, especially considering how young she is and how j-popish her other songs are. Its her only live appearance till December (and I won't be here that long) and I'm not sure there are tickets left (online sale seems to have ended but I'll just go there on Monday) but it would be pretty cool to see her before I go back home.

For all you perverts out there, it seems there will be a simultaneous fashion show and live performance by きゃりーぱみゅぱみゅ which I presume will be preceded by free drugs and include pink dyed ponies.

Turns out you can buy tickets at Lawsons, that just saved me a lot of time and around 500 yen in train fees. Going to Shinkiba just to buy tickets would be a drag.
