I have scanning hardware (IRIScan-2) but no OCR driver/software to scan Japanese characters. I could spend several thousand yen to download IRIS' Nihongo recognizing reader, but I have a hunch that there's something cheaper or even free that would accomplish the same.  Perfect version would be OCR that saves document to editable text (ie, MS Word), but I'll accept PDF, since there's lots of freeware that converts scanned PDF to text.   よろしくお願いします
