Hello dear all. So, you are smoking as well, and want to quit? But your will is like jelly, weak and wobbly? You can't resist going for a smoke? Even some sips on a cigarette don't do for you, you eat a whole cigarette in less than 3 minutes? If you recognize yourself in the above description, being a casual or chain smoker, you have come to the right place. You can get rid of this bad habit, in 8 hours, without medication, nicotine patches, no books, no doctors, no anti-smoking courses, and not even willpower. Sounds to good to be true? Well, here is the method, see if it helps you. And if it doesn't? It was free, you didn't have to pay for it, and if it works, leave a thank you.

Work-Material
Your cigarettes
A timetable

How-To
Start with this method as soon as you get up in the morning. Look at the clock, and take a note, when you started smoking, when you finished, and how long it has taken you to smoke it.

[1] 08:37 - 08:40 - 1 cigarette [3 mins]

After 5 minutes you will smoke your next cigarette and take a note about it again.

[2]08:45 - 08:50 - 1 cigarette [5 mins]

After 10 minutes you will do the same thing. Which means you smoke your next cigarette at 9 o'clock. You will then increase the number of minutes between your last cigarette and the next to 20, 30, 45, 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours, 5 hours, 6 hours, 7 hours, until you reach 8 hours.

You will notice the following if done correct. After and interval of 6 hours between your last cigarette and the next, the time it takes you to smoke it, will increase. After 8 hours, you will notice, that they taste like you had never been smoking in all your life. They will taste bad, and you will have no reason, to continue smoking.

This is because the nicotine level is kept high all the time, if you smoke regularly, your brain is satisfied. But the nicotine level wears of pretty quickly, so you are smoking more, to keep it at a level your body feels comfortable with. But if you are following this simple method, the body realizes, that it doesn't need the nicotine anymore, and you can get rid of the nasty smoking habit.

Let me know if this method works for you. smile

If those are increasing time spans, shouldn't the title be "Quit smoking in 38 hours"?
5m+10m+20m+30m+45m+1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8=  37:50

It's easy to quit smoking.  I know people who have done it dozens of times.

Those are increasing time spans between the last and the next cigarette. If you increase the time after 5min, [+10] 15m, [+20] 35m, [+45] 1h 15m [+1] 2h, [+2] 4h, [+3] 7h, [+4] 11h, [+5] 16h, [+6] 22h, [+7] 28h, [+8] 36 hours. But it is also possible to skip from +1 to +5 to +8 hours. What counts is that you reach the 8 hours without smoking in between, or in increasing intervals. And this is very well possible in just one day and less than 12 hours.

Whenever you feel like it. If you start this early in the morning, you should at least be able to spread out the interval to +6 hours. If you decide to go to sleep, and once you wake up, you shouldn't really feel the need anymore to smoke a cigarette. This method worked very well for me. I hope that others will be able to quit smoking as well doing it like this.

For people who were able to learn to write and remember 2042 漢字 this should really be no problem at all. wink

Another method I got to know through my uncle is the following (he visited some "witch" and never started smoking again):

1) Wash yourself really really properly, as if you were to decontamine yourself after an radiation accident.
2) Use an aetheric oil to massage your skin / let yourself be massaged by someone else (wife/girlfriend, boyfriend, whatsoever)
3) Take a sheet of paper and a pen afterwards
4) At least 2 litres of normal tabwater in bottles
5) Start to write "RAUCHEN IST GIFT" (German: "SMOKING IS POISON") in capital letters on the whole sheet (keep it neat and clean, like a wallpaper)
6) Do this for one hour, while drinking the water (at least 2 litres!) constantly.

1)-6) for half a year and you'll never smoke one again. You just have to be as consequent as with your reviews in Anki or with learning kanji. My uncle succeeded and he feels great now big_smile

My technique for stopping smoking (after 10 years of heavy smoking) was more efficient:

1. Decide to stop smoking.
2. Stop.

Going cold turkey is the best way. Just stop buying them, don't use patches, don't use gum. And start exercising.
