My biology test: Made 250 cards. Reviewed them( rated hard or failed) every day and Went through all the cards on the last day + Read the book.
TOTAL REVIEW TIME: 4 hours.
+ making those cards for maybe even 4-6 hours.

Got something like 65% on the test.
There was a lack of cards + I didn't remember the facts that well(used cloze deletion and that List thing where you add 5 items and cloze delete 1 of them). It was quite complicated to remember facts.




Art History test: did the same thing. 130 cards with pictures and stuff.

TOTAL REVIEW TIME: 2h + making cards about 4 hours.
Didn't read the book.

Got about 70%
Again, lack of cards. Most of the stuff I learnt I remembered well, but I didn't have enough cards.



All in all the adding of those cards was very time-consuming. It took at least as much time adding them, as reviewing them in total.

If I'd compare it to just reading the text, I think doing it with anki is more time-consuming(with adding). But in case of there being good cards, It will probably take less time.

I think I will start using srs to study for school too. For the history of Japan final test, and for the culture of japan and History of China test...hmmm...

What's that Anki "cram mode"? Never saw it, how does it work?

Most of the student what do that at exam time they just start reading all the books and topics.But I want to advised that for exam preparation,study from the beginning very helpful.As you learn new topic then make own note on it and then read on that day then after revise that after 3 days and do as per this and after a week ,revise all of the seven days and thus you need not to worry for exam and at exam time you will not stressed.

If there are some example questions or information available, definitely use those. While making uip your own questions is beneficial, saving time is even more beneficial.

In the end you want enough cards to cover what you need to know, but not too many that you end up not reviewing them enough.

How to create those 3 blanks fast?
Anki's cloze deletion only lets create one. I saw a multiple cloze deletion plugin but it doesnt work very time-efficiently for me.

+ the hard won't be a very easy card.
Some people think that you should make as easy cards as possible, maybe having 3 gaps is not a very good, or is it?
