In the introduction of lesson 31. Heisig seems to suggest that the story will fade over time and that the keyword will just trigger the primitive elements.  At least that is how I understand it.

Can anyone confirm this? ありがとう

See for yourself what do you think when you see 頁 Probably head but you know it means Page. But you don't think of ONE, DROP OF , EYE , ANIMAL LEGS each time.
