Two years ago, on this day, an old lurker started his first posting asking for a rare deck he found in a long-defunct forum (using Google cache or archive.org's wayback machine!)

Just six hours later, the revolutionary learning tool, sub2srs, was born, and a new age of enlightenment has dawned:

On this occasion, I would like to thank all the great programmers here who contribute in so many ways for the benefit of the whole community (cb4960, resolve, and not to forget Fabrice and all the other people who devote big chunks of time to help us).

Note: To be honest, I must admit that I never used subs2srs nor Anki or even Heisig seriously! but I really appreciate their power and usefulness, hoping that one day I will have the time to use them.

(Today, I'm going to the Middle East for one month, anyone know how is the speed of internet over there?)

I always wondered who emailed cb4960 about the tools they used. Was it you???

I'd like to thank everyone here, too.
I don't use Anki. Neither did I use Heisig. But I like the forum and the links.

Blahah has been extremely useful.
I am glad I came here.

Oh, I forgot ahibba! Sorry.

Blahah was very helpful indeed, and so were nest0r, ahibba, buonaparte; and nagareboshi's experiences, story and hints were very useful indeed. Too many people to name and thank: the person that directed me to this forum, fabrice, cb4960, damien... so many I forgot. Just know that I found many stories, comments and inspiring people in this forum and I think that is a major accomplishment.
This forum has taught me that verily a new age of language learning has come.

I declare the 25th of January as Modern Language Learning day! A celebration of all the new exciting opportunities in learning languages these days, and a celebration of this site and forum.
I'd personally like to thank Fabrice, Damien Elmes, Khatz, and mezbup, who I think put me onto ajatt.

Here's to two more years! (By which time all of us will become completely fluent in our target language smile). Thanks to those of you who submitted bug reports, offered suggestions, or otherwise posted something to inspire the creation of new features.
