you guys used
http://www.youtube.com/leanback/ yet?

i think with the right search phrases and channels set up, this could be a very worthy Japanese TV replacement.

now finding those right channels and keywords...

especially those with full subs (rare).

Hmm... is there a way to limit your watching to just a certain category while having it limited to your search at the same time?  If so, I think it would be good, but if not, I think it'd be bad for picky people tongue

Whoa, this is pretty nice. Can you search for multiple unrelated keywords at once?

Looks like Google has killed all of the awesome that Youtube Leanback used to be by replacing it with "Youtube TV". New features include: Not being able to type into the search box, not being to copy/paste into the search box, and forcing you to only be able to type English letters using some sort on-screen "keyboard bar" thing with wacky predicative text.

Let's just say I'm not pleased. :'(

There's one khatzumoto uses where you can type your own keywords... it basically just plays endless videos relevant to whatever you put in, or something like that.

I'll find it tomorrow probably and update this.

You are thinking of Nonstop TUBE.

I actually have a project where you type in youtube search terms and it uses it to build a "deck" of videos.  Then it will randomly play through those videos forever and ever.  It's kind of minimalist but could probably be molded into something more useful.

Is there anything like this Leanback YouTube that just makes it a better experience to watch *your favorite channels* instead of all the random crap YouTube keeps throwing at me?

Oh I see you can activate it and then browse your own channels on your sexeh 16:9 monitor if you want to, but then it's a bit slow as it keeps reloading the thumbs.

Ah well, guess I'll keep using YouTube Better Startpage for now.
