How about a "top" button?

I don't mean to be negative, and it doesn't hurt to make suggestions, but doesn't pressing the home key on your keyboard do the same thing?

Maybe he's already aware of this, and is simply making the suggestion in an effort to maximize efficiency. If you're scrolling down the page with a mouse, then precious milliseconds can be saved by merely using a mouse click. Making the tedious journey across the vast peaks and valleys of the keyboard in order to reach the home key can be exhausting, so I can understand the reason for a suggestion such as this.

On second thought, there's some truth in that (for righthanders with laptops), but I guess it wouldn't really be worth implementing on this site.
At least, now you know it exists on other forums.

Ironically, my macbook does not have a home key...have to press Command+Up arrow...soo inefficient smile

Maybe I'm missing something, but now that you mention it, I would like a "bottom" button haha.

I browse on my iPhone a lot, and I know how to get to the top real quick, but getting to the bottom tires out my fingers sometimes.

This could be done with a simple greasemonkey script, but I'm too lazy to write one.

Edit: Actually you can do it via a very simple bookmarklet. Just bookmark

I didn't realize they only meant for the iPhone, I thought they were talking in general and then referencing the iPhone. I guess I've been reading too many logically structured papers lately. ;p
