Just reviewed and noticed that the image for
228 (leaf) showed up but had a weird black mark across it
wasn't sure where to post so posted here
sorry if not the right place

I've seen something similar with that particular kanji in Anki -- are you using Linux ? I have a suspicion that it's an error in the font (or just possibly the renderer).

only just realised there was a response

i thought it was the site b'cos it happened after site maintenance
fonts make more sense though
