Can't login from forums - password too long

This isn't a big deal or anything, but is just a bit annoying for us crazy types who use long, 20+ character passwords for all their sites smile

Basically, everywhere on the site, including on the change password page, you can specify a password of unlimited length. The exception is on the forum login page, where the password input field has a maxlength of 16.

So basically you can create an account with a password that can't be used to log in wink

FooSoft, I will look at it but probably I will enforce the 16 characters limit on the main site registration. The reason is I prefer to avoid "hacking" into the PunBB codebase as this makes PunBB updates more difficult. I wish I was a Git/Version control pro in that case I'd know how to manage my own changes in a separate branch but it 's too much wizardry for me yet.

For existing users the fix is to update your password on the main site to something within the forum password limit.
