I hope everything is fine, it says it should be back up within an hour, but the site has been down for many hours now. I'm burning to continue my studies...

Good luck, Fabrice!

On the positive side, we know Fabrice is working for the benefit of us all, KUDOS!

And we still have the book and our brains, so let's get back to work at once!

This downtime is reminding me how much I need to donate again.

(Fabrice, your maintenance note should also include a donate button on it.)

I totally agree, I think he would get more donations that way.

"It was down for a couple minutes actually, but a couple hours later than I had planned. Sory about that. But there is still a problem whereby it redirects you to a maintenance page when it is down, so you need to reload yoru bookmark not that page"

Says Fabrice in the misogyny thread... So it isn't really down? I am merely stupid and can't figure out how to get off the redirect?

I think that was just for the Forums. I cannot get to the stories and studies section myself. If someone knows how to get there....

This leads to the maintenance note for me.

I don't know, I emptied the cache but it's still down. so it's definitively not my browser.

Nevertheless, I learned 30 Kanji today, just want to import them to my Kanji count - always a feelgood moment smile

I think he just said that F5 doesnt works in the maintenance page, you rather have to click in the link in it or use a bookmark to refresh it.. or just remove the "/maintenance.html" part of the url.

Im very happy about the things hes changing, so I dont mind waiting too much smile

Did that already, doesn't change a thing.

It's Friday night in Europe so I'm sure he's out in Brussels having a good time, not aware of our distress signals...

Good for him! Enjoy, Fabrice :-))))

The site will only come back when hes done with the update... that part of removing  "/maintenance.html" is just to refresh the page, it wont change the result until they are done fixing it ;P

Perhaps? Not at all focused like this wonderful website, of course. ^^

It's in cases like this that you realize how fragile and precious every aspect of life is :tear in the eye:

Meanwhile, I copied my last 500 kanji (you know, part of the routine: copy, write the story, learn, repeat) while audiobooking "Slaughter House 5". I'm almost half way through... and it's good (I don't know why I expected a gore story -- because of the title like "Splatter House" possibly).

Anyway, if you don't use anki, come and share your dismay by telling us what you did without RevTK. It could be interesting.

By the way truando, this thread should go in the feedback part of the forum (not RTK1). Better luck next time.
wink

Hm. Well, it's 9:40 here in Gunma-ken... The website is still down. Guess I'll go back to my hard copy flashcards. (I enjoy making them... Gives me a chance to practice with a brush... smile )

I'm really sorry about this.. I forgot to upload a file after the update. The update actually took a couple minutes, but entrance was blocked by the "maintenance" settings. X_X  Will double-check this next time. That sucks because I hoped to act quick if any new bug was reported but now its 3am, the website is back up, but I have to hit the sack smile

Lol, here's an idea smile

Just to clear up: it was down. I didn't realize the Apache .htaccess was still blocking users from accessing the website.

These new features are indeed nice, thank you!
