How do I reset the list of learned and unlearned on the site?

I may be asking the question wrong because search seems to turn up answers about Anki. What I want to do is have the website forget what I know and do not know.

Where do questions like this about how to interact with the website go?

Why would you want that?

There is a good reason why such an option does not exist. Just go back to reviewing and relearning as needed. I can personally attest that a stack of over 700 expired is nothing short of 1 Saturday's work.

If you really have to start over (which you shouldn't) you can always create a new account. It may also be possible to politely ask the admin to erase your progress, but weather he does is different matter.

You could remove all the cards and then go back and add them again. I think that would work...

Yeah. Just remove all your cards, it erases all your review data, but keeps your stories.

Is there a way to remove all my cards? Or is it something that is done one by one?

Perhaps because they haven't found the option? At least your snide response was offset with a helpful link!

What does that do, exactly? I saw that but I have no idea what that means. Remove from what? From the list of cards that I am going to be asked about?

If I am asked a card, and I  miss it does it automatically get marked as unlearned restudy?

(If I knew how to do what I wanted to do, I would not be asking how to do it.)

Is the UI of the website that bad?

If you want to rest your flashcards, you delete cards from the Manage tab. If you don't want to check several hundreds flashcards manually (Remove Cards > Select from list), you enter a custom range like "1-200" (Remove Custom Selection).

On the website, "learned" has a different meaning. If you click the "learned" button from the Study page, the failed kanji goes to a "learned" pile which is listed on the left sidebar. It is a way to mark failed kanji as "relearned". It goes into a "learned" list (under Restudy kanji, sidebar), which let you do one extra review. Those that pass go to stack 2, those that fail stay in the learned list until you pass them or you reset the list. You CAN reset that list, the red "clear" link should be pretty obvious.

Just type '1-2042' in the box, then press 'Remove flashcards' until it says they are removed.
