There's several threads, such as those about kanzen master, KO2001, Cangy's sorted Core series, and many others that I (and I'm sure others) constantly refer back to. It would be convenient both for experienced users and new users to be able to easily access these threads in a single location, whether it can be found in a sticky or on the Wiki page. This will also help prevent the create of new threads about old topics.

Compiling such a list can be streamlined by creating a new thread and obtaining feedback on what threads should be included in the list.

What does everyone think? Would this be a useful new addition? I've never edited a Wiki page in my life, but I'm willing to do the compiling as long as there's enough interest in something like this. Please, let me know if this is a good idea and in what ways it can be improved.

The Wiki is to archive information. The best bits of the threads should be condensend and summarized into relevant pages.

Those pages that are most helpful can be linked directly from the wiki home page (as linked in the top nav of this forum).

I don't think it's a good use of the wiki to have lists of links to the forum topics. The Wiki should have content.

But you can have "feedback loops", ie. announce the wiki page in the given topic, summarize the information there. Then in the wiki page add a clear link at the bottom back to the related forum topic.

It would be interesting to add a forum feature designed for this, to associate a Wiki page with a forum topic. But right now with my priorities and all, I'm not seeing much interest in the Wiki to spend time on. I mean I hoped that some of the long established members who spend a lot of time editing topics here would enjoy editing the Wiki but that did not turn out to be the case. Maybe people are afraid of editing the Wiki. I don't think it's an ego thing because the Wiki does a damn good job of keeping track of everyone's contributions. Users can even have their own Wiki page (the user page) and list links to their contributions and so on.

Editing a wiki is dreadfully easy, so long as you dont need tables. It is all also documented at the front page of the wiki, bottom center "Editing the wiki".
