Has anyone else been having trouble reviewing/studying? Every now and then it'll disconnect and I'll have to retry, which usually works, except when finishing a review. This is about the fourth time I've lost a chunk of my review because it fails at the last card. It shows that message to stop me from leaving the page and instructs me to hit Cancel and then click "End" to finish manually. But clicking "End" doesn't do anything, so the reviews get lost when I leave the page.

I've run into this on my PC as well as WiFi and 3G on my phone. It's only been happening the past few days, maybe a week.

Edit: Just happened again, out of the 13 I reviewed I lost 10.

Try opening the site in a different tab and logging in there. Then just return to the original tab and continue as normal.

Yes, it's been happening a lot. Over the last week has been happening many times a day.

There was scheduled server down time from the web host company July 22.

That said there are many factors involved with connectivity.. I rarely see any downtime or loss of connectivity when browsing from desktop. Perhaps on mobile networks it is more shaky, then there is the location where you live, your ISP, and so on.

In general, I'd say the web hosting with hostgator is very good.

Now that the OP points it out, my reconnect failures have also been when all the reviews were complete.

I took note of the reconnect-at-end-of-review issue which I'll try to fix asap as soon as I've settled back here. I'm still couch surfing with a friend in Brussels..

In the meantime I'll see tonight if I can upload a patch to increase the timeout delay to lessen the number of reconnects.

Fabrice, I merely stated a fact I'm experiencing, it was NOT intended as a complain! I mean, this service is generously provided by you for free to all of us...

This said, the timeout patch would be great, but take your time. Hehe!!

I was merely stating facts as well. I shall limit my use of trailing ellipsis or whatever it's called. smile

Changing the timeout interval should be easy enough.

Timeout interval was increased from 5 sec to 10 seconds. In plain english that means it should wait at least 10 seconds before deciding that the connection is lost.

Let me know if that works better.

Hi Fabrice! More than 24h since your fix and still haven't experienced any dropped connections. I believe the timeout interval increase proved successful. Thank you very much! wink
