I just though that if Anki website offered media storage (for a price of course) and full deck backup services I would definitely use it over dropbox. How about you guys? Well, if there is a lot of support here maybe we should suggest it to the anki creator guy.

It just would be cool to sync my media and everything at once, without doing my weekly backup on dropbox. Or, suggest some other options for me guys?

Anki Online will soon be a paid service for everything except syncing very small decks (~5mb iirc), and I believe resolve said he will add media syncing around the same time.

Yeah, Resolve has had the intention of making Anki Online a pay service with media uploads for at least as long as I've had Anki, and I got it around the time when I signed up here.

10mb is the cutoff, but you'll need to continue to use dropbox for media syncing. They have economies of scale I can't match, and people with 2gb media directories would see my bandwidth charges fly through the roof.

Yonosa: you can use the 'change media directory' plugin to keep your media permanently synced while keeping your deck out of dropbox. There should be no need to manually back stuff up
