Hey all, not sure if other people use this, but I just found this add-on for firefox where you can mark and highlight text in any webpage (though there are slight problems with dynamic pages) and store it:

I've only just started to use it, for example to collect books and authors into a list that I'm interested in reading later. I'm finding it pretty handy. Haven't used it on any Japanese pages yet, but I imagine it would be nice to highlight any electronic texts you might be reading for relevant parts, and collect the sentences (and/or images), write any notes, and then export the collection to be used in anki:

You can also use it to save websites for checking them offline.
