I have recently started reading books written by Japanese people, in Japanese, for Japanese people about communication techniques.  For example in English they would be titled like "Effective communication methods" "Power through communication" and so forth. 

They may sound really cheesy and while I consider myself a good communicator and such just reading one of those books has helped me a ton with my Japanese!!  Not only do you get good exposure to certain communication techniques using Japanese you get a lot of good material on something that will come up often in your conversations with others: communication.

Anyways, if you are a high level Japanese reader (there isn't too much kanji in these books) I suggest giving one a try.  The one I am reading right now is called Communication Studies by Yukio Fujimaki.  these can be found in any bookstore in Japan under business or communication.
