Similar words in vocab decks

How do you handle words like: 代わる, 代える, 代わり in your vocabulary decks?
Should I use just one word (if so which form) or all of them?
How to count such cards, as separate words or one word family?

代わる and 代える are definitely different verbs (they are a transitive/intransitive pair)... I'd include a sentence fragment somewhere indicating usage.
