Since the link is broken, does somebody still have the pack and is able to re-upload it? Thanks in advance!

[EDIT: Better link smile no downloading necessary/instant access. Though you can if you want access to the .HTML files] https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5iapa49zgn0kgeh/2ejjZlmBqw

Found it in my Downloads folder. Feel sorta guilty for having this and completely forgetting I even had it in the first place xD

I was waiting for someone to upload it! Very surprised, the pack is great and the wait definitely wasn't for nothing. ;D

Yeah, when I was a lower level, the biggest complaint was that when I kept looking up words all the time, I'd get super tired and forget what I was reading

Yeah, this happened to me a lot too. Somethings I never get to finish what I am reading because I kept going back and forth between the book and the dictionary. Then I'd get tired and just stop reading altogether.

Thank goodness for rikaichan!

Anki plugin for vocabulary to add picture / audio
Excuse me about asking my guestion here. Because I'm newbie so I don't have possibility to creat a thread. My question:
I'm making a vocabulary deck with it's media such as audio and pic. For adding pictures I can use google for search images and for adding audios I can use my dictionary software to add a native sound. (click in the pronounciation button in my dictionary and immediately  click the record button in anki)
My question is how can I do these, automatically or faster way?
Is there any plugin to download a picture (or pictures) related to my vocab word automatically?
Is tere any plugin to add a sound clip related to my word automatically or at least faster than my way? (the sound must be native sound (human sound))

I don't know -of- a plugin exactly like you ask, but there is a set of single word sound clips provided by Jpod101 to edict/wwwjdic. Under pre-Anki-2.0 there was a plugin that was supposed to download and set a sound for any such soundclip, if you chose an edit action while viewing a card but I don't know if or how that plugin works under Anki 2.0 and later.

Hnnnh, anyway, I wouldn't give up the search. If such a plugin doesn't exist now, it's certainly technically possible and should exist in time.

Sure. First, type up a list of your vocabulary and save it as a text file. Open the text file in Firefox and turn on the 'Rikaisama' plugin (http://forum.koohii.com/viewtopic.php?id=5562).

Then, use the add-on to import the words/translations/audio etc. into anki for you one by one (explanation: http://forum.koohii.com/viewtopic.php?id=5562). And, from there it's just a matter of browsing your deck in anki and adding the pictures to your new notes.

There are also image importing add-ons for anki that might ease that process too.

Edit: Option 2 would work if you already have a list of Japanese expressions, kana and their English meanings and have imported them into anki.

1. Download all of the JDIC audio files (links on this site), unpack and move them to your collections folder.

2. Set up anki so that the audio field references the expression field and kana field like this: [sound:{{Expression}} - {{Kana}}.mp3]  -OR-  strip the filenames of the readings and just use the expression field like this: [sound:{{Expression}}.mp3]

3. Now, grab your images.

thank you Oniichan, but I forgot to say that I'm Iranian and learning English, not japanese.
but your guide about using expression in the sound field may suit me because I can get the english sounds. now the question is can I use sound files and the expression as you said in anki version 2 or just in anki version 1 it's possible?

I do know  audio works in anki 2
that was about using expression to sound files. because as I know, the file format in  anki2 is simply one unique file (even included media). (all in one file) and there is no need an extra folder. My problem is how to link audio clips?

@afshar

So why are you asking your question here?  This is not a forum for discussing Anki.  It is for studying Japanese (and sometimes other languages that use Kanji).  Anki does get mentioned sometimes because many people use it for Japanese.  Why are you here?  Asking such a question here is like going on a forum about baseball and asking a question about golf balls.
