I tried listening to all hip hop songs to feel a small dim light of motivation in the middle of this abyss of demotivation.

Then I listened to this

姫 (Hime) - 姫始2006 (Himehajime 2006)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4xJM6RBm8k

Now I'm jumping with motivation.

Sometimes there is no choice but to go to the dark side.

Major props to KREVA for getting that on the blog. It's amazing. I've been listening to it over and over for days now.

Can you recommend me any tracks?

edit: okay, no need. It seems that I didn't listen very closely at first.

Not yet, thanks smile

By the way KREVA, do you usually read the lyrics of the songs you like?

Yeah, I used to often do so back when I couldn't attentively hear most of what I listened to.  Now, my ears are so attuned to Japanese (via a rather consistent hardcore immersion environment) I can learn by ear.  But even so, there's still words I don't know that come up, so I find it best to sit down once in a while and listen to songs while reading along with the lyrics for an attempt at full comprehension.  Half of the words I find in hip-hop lyrics are words I know, but are words that are still floating in the fresh pool of short term memory. hmm

I read the lyrics to 虹 and was rather surprised that words sticked quite well and learning was very enjoyable.

I didn't even know that the lyrics/meaning were just as great as I had imagined. It was great to get the message.

Whoah!  Did anybody know that DJ Oasis (King Giddra) raps?  He kinda raps like K Dub Shine, but different voice.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gu_4q0KoRJo (This song seems to be aimed at mainstream hip-hop, Pop-hip-hop, and meaningless beefs.)

Dang, this song is stuck in my head now. lol "マジうざくねぇ"

If you can find them, I can time and create subtitle files for subs2srs.

<hook>

<hook>

Whoa, thanks!  (Sorry for the late reply, just found this!)

It sucks that I've had this iTunes Japan card since November and haven't used it yet. The underground stuff like Blahrmy and Dinary Delta Force aren't even on there. I also can't find RYUZO's latest album on iTunes either.

Suuuuper repetitive and boring beat though... (my opinion only).

His albums are a lot better than The R and Dogtag in my opinoin. If you want good music from R-Rated Records check out ANARCHY.
