Actually the fcuk word has been replaced with **** for a long time already, probably since the forum is online, when I first looked at the administration options. There were only 2 censored words and recently I added the "body orifice" one and made some humorous replacements instead of using stars, but I left the stars for the fcuk word since everybody knows what the 4 letter word is.

The "censoring" options in PunBB are pretty basic. You put a word, and its replacement.

So yes, I mean no, you can not set this per account.

PS: I know most people can handle vulgarity here, but everybody is different. People sometimes can be emotional about this word, even though it can mean nothing and everything nowadays. As for the body orifice word that seemed rather vulgar to me. You imbeciles and clueless idiots still have a pretty wide array of ****ing awesome words to use. Damned bastards! *** PPPS: that's HUMOUR just in case.. it doesn't always come accross the network cables ***

PPS: Since the censoring is quite basic, you can use variations of the word, which is practical... the single word is censored but not other uses such as "I'll be mucked if..." "Well that's ******* awesome!" etc :p

Censors never a55ure offensive words will not be used.  I used to get a little worked up in political forums discussing former President B.u.s.h. and  D.i.ck. Cheney but found ways to work around it.
