I recall for the thread about whaling that the word "leprechaun" (body orifice) was automatically replaced with zombie or something else humorous. I thought that was a one time deal, but then I noticed that the word "****" (sexual activity) was starred out in one of my post.
Is this the standard now, or is there a way to set individual accounts to either display or censor words (ie, let the user decide on their end). Only reason I ask is that I think the forum is mature enough to allow vulgar words on it. It's how the words are used that matter, and one can be pretty abusive using non-vulgar words.
**Edit: I re-read Fabrice's comments on the Whaling thread, so this may just be a hold over from that joke he played. Still, seeing that when I edit the post, I can see the original words it seems it's possible to let the users be able to choose censored or original words. Leprechauns and Goblins, man, that's some funny Cabbage (let's see who get's the Cabbage reference).

Actually the fcuk word has been replaced with **** for a long time already, probably since the forum is online, when I first looked at the administration options. There were only 2 censored words and recently I added the "body orifice" one and made some humorous replacements instead of using stars, but I left the stars for the fcuk word since everybody knows what the 4 letter word is.
The "censoring" options in PunBB are pretty basic. You put a word, and its replacement.
So yes, I mean no, you can not set this per account.
PS: I know most people can handle vulgarity here, but everybody is different. People sometimes can be emotional about this word, even though it can mean nothing and everything nowadays. As for the body orifice word that seemed rather vulgar to me. You imbeciles and clueless idiots still have a pretty wide array of ****ing awesome words to use. Damned bastards! *** PPPS: that's HUMOUR just in case.. it doesn't always come accross the network cables
***
PPS: Since the censoring is quite basic, you can use variations of the word, which is practical... the single word is censored but not other uses such as "I'll be mucked if..." "Well that's ******* awesome!" etc :p
