Hello!

I clicked on the banner and wonder if the package for $9.99 is a serious offer?

I would be glad to read from your experiences.
The basic website itself looks very nice!

thank you for this information!
i did not notice the service would be limited to 1 week.
I registered yesterday, so I got some time left ...

the PDF together with the written text for the audio-lessons - a perfect match.

I signed up for a year about a year and a half ago.  I found the majority of the lessons to be slow and boring, yet I didn't remember much afterwards anyhow.  I blame the majority of this on the annoying English-speaking guy.  His jokes aren't funny, his attitude ticks off most people I've talked to about it, and his Japanese accent is so horrid that he should never, ever expose Japanese students to it.  He's absolutely ridiculous.

Having said that, I started listening to the free podcasts lately and I notice he's only in 1 of the beginner shows now.  Other than the fact that one of the girls talks like she has lockjaw, I find everything to be pleasant and fun to listen to.  (And she's not that bad, even with the lockjaw thing.)  Not sure how much I'm learning, but at least it doesn't feel like wasted time now.  I considered signing up again to get the PDFs and all that, but I never really felt they did the job last time, so...

My favorite part of jpod101 was "Miki's Blog" because it was only a couple of minutes long, is entirely in Japanese and is better for more concentrated study.  I think there is a different person doing them now ("Season 2") but Miki did more than 100 audio blogs (with transcripts/translations in the pdfs) on various topics when she was there.  You might want to check that out while you have your free trial.
