When I go to http://kanji.koohii.com/ it says "Welcome back drivers99" and then it shows: 138 expired kanji and 14 study kanji above the big "progress chart" "review" and "study" buttons on the main page.  I thought that was odd since I already did my reviews for the day.  When I click review there are 0 cards that are expired, and 14 that need to be restudied (i.e. failed), which is correct.  I'm pretty sure it didn't show up like that earlier in the day so it makes me wonder if it's related to the time zone.  I'm in -07 MST.  Maybe it's calculating the number of reviews I will end up having after midnight. (?)
