Browser jumps to top of page after each card

Every time I grade my card, the browser (Firefox 3.5.4) jumps to the top of each page. This is distracting because I have to scroll down (at 1024x768) to see the "Flip Card" button, and I don't want to use the keyboard. Maybe it's just 'cause I'm not used to it, but I found this to disrupt my session pretty badly, since my train of thought (train of memory?) got derailed each time.

You should increase your resolution. 1024x768 is pretty low-res by modern standards. I don't think there is a way to fix what you're talking about without having the page done in AJAX though.

Alternatively you can zoom-out in firefox.

1024x768 makes things small enough as it is on this monitor, and I don't like the idea of boosting both the resolution and font size -- it makes images smaller in comparison to the text, it could break certain programs, etc....

Well, it didn't do that before... (Or maybe the page was just small enough that I didn't have to scroll? I already forget which!)

I suppose I could. I still can't help but feel it shouldn't do that, though.

I for one don't have that option - I have a 1024x768 monitor.
However, my Firefox doesn't do that...

Try pressing Ctrl and Minus key to zoom out in firefox. It only effects a single tab, so it won't effect anything else.

That's not the point, though. I think the site shouldn't make people do that.

It's the extra # on the end of the URL. I guess it was put there to make it act as a link anchor, so the little hand pointer appears when you hover over it.

It's a javascript problem when you click links, and I should be able to fix next few days. The cardinal character # should not appear in the url, that is a good sign that the javascript event is not handled properly.

Can you confirm this problem does not appear when you use the keyboard shortcuts?

It's stopped doing it now, whether I use the keyboard or not. Thanks smile
