You guys need PopChar (I don't know if it's available for PC though, probably in some form) and it's like a microscopicly small button in your upper lefthand corner and if you click it, a chart (a REALLY long chart) with all characters possible drops down.

※‡†∞⇨◆☆♪♭♯♣♥❺『』「」【】〒ゞヱヰヺヷヾ㊞㊤㊥㊦㊘㌖㌧㎗㎥©  etc.

And it works per 'alphabet'

ʥʧʨʣʐʫʭȪȳǯȣȵĵ˨ϴϱϠϞζӁҨҩѼѨѽѫѯӬԈԄעฌอ๑๏ᴓᵫΏ‱⁂※₯℺⅋ↂ↩↪⇪→↖⎋⌘⎇▼►◊✎שׂ✓Ϛ  ...the weird characters they don't have huh

btw, anyone knew that typing an 'x' first (not sure if it's the same on PC) makes your hiragana small (only certain ones ofcourse)

あぁいぃうぅえぇおぉアァイィウゥ etc.

It also works if you type 'l' first on PCs.

Or we could just do it this way, on any PC/Mac/etc, without installing anything at all.

OSX and windows already have built in character-set viewers too tongue

You can't rapidly hide & close them, but unless you frequently make 2ch style ascii art who cares tongue

Both x and l work for pc but x has some problems here and there like xつ doesn't result in a smaller つ which is kinda of weird.

xtsu works for me on Win XP, Win Vista, Win7, KDE and OSX.  I think it's pretty universal.

Yeah, but who doesn't do that all the time?
