Are they under attack? Livejournal, Twitter, Facebook all down for a while now, it seems. Guess users are migrating when one fails and overloading each server? I don't guess it's like that time China lost its undersea fibre optics and broke the Internet. Interesting 'flaw' in the system, if it's user-created...

Hmm. I can get to their homepage, but then I get a 'reset' after I try to login/visit profiles.

Edit: n/m, FB working intermittently. Guess they've got a stronger system?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co … 01482.html - Guess I'm not the only one. LJ back up for me, but not Twitter and Facebook still resets often. I don't even use these sites really, just fascinated. ;p

Edit: Apparently it's part of a DDoS attack: http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/tw … e_same.php - Wonder if only one was targeted and there was a cascade of usage overload to the others, or if it was orchestrated across multiple sites.

Yeah I was checking *chans to see if they were doing a ddos. Doesn't seem like. I wonder who's doing it?

Me too. Botnet revenge against the recent purges? Google wanting to kill the competition for realtime search? Self-inflicted to garner sympathy? Chinese cyberterrorists?? ;p

This is a good thing so people can return to experiencing life rather than twittering about it.

Apparently all 3 sites confirmed it was DDoS attacks. So weird.
