They are about to start up a new season of I Survived a Japanese Gameshow, and I was wondering ~ does anyone knew what time and channel Majide (the gameshow) comes on on Japanese television? I tried searching the TV guide, but can't read much myself and the translators are terrible.

It's not on Japanese TV, because it's not a Japanese show.

They made it up.

Yeah, it is a staged show BASED on real shows in Japan.

They do a good job of faking it though!

Can't wait for season 2 to start ^^

Yeah, as the others said, it's fake.  Since they kept -claiming- it was a real show on 'I Survived', I thought it was, too.  But it's not.

I'm not totally surprised, though, as it lets them get as crazy (or un-crazy) as they want without rabid fans getting mad about the Gaijin taking over their favorite show for a month.

I hadn't realized S2 was coming soon, though...  I'll have to be watching for it.  Thanks.

Septic
Cockney ryhming slang for a Yank (American). The whole phrase is 'Septic Tank' - but as with most cockney ryhming slang the first word is used only. The reason for the link is that, like a septic tank nobody likes a filthy stinking American.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume there must be some other meaning to this word.  Not sure why you don't like that site.  I thought it was a wonderful find.

I'm sure Hulu is great, but it only works in the US.

I don't think he's trying to be like that. It's just that hulu doesn't work here in the UK (I.P blocked) sad Only for America. You can get around it if you have a VPN server though.

It is odd they would block it.  Most programs have commercials every 15 minutes or so just like normal TV so it would seem to be a revenue loss for them.

Only an American would be so gracious to give the benefit of the doubt in this case.  Those that speak the Queen's english will fully know what meaning I intended tongue

Enjoy you're wonderful site yankee.  I'll just take pleasure in the fact that it is part owned by an Australian whose mission in life seems to be rot american brains with the drivel he provides under the guise of entertainment wink

...and take pleasure in that America has the slowest Internet in the world.  Here in Hawaii (it varies state to state), we only get 3 Mbps downloads

The ads are being paid for by American companies with the intent of Americans buying them, sometimes because they're products only sold in America. So paying for the ad when non-Americans are going to be watching them is the loss.

I wish all this stuff was international as well, and hosted international shows, but oh well...

That's self-selected data based on who used that site, and has no relationship to real life. I rather doubt that Russia's that good; you're probably looking at people accessing from universities or something. In the UK you're lucky to get a 2 Mb/s connection and FTTH is completely nonexistent; the US has gobs of FTTH if you're in the right place, and if not, you're far more likely to have DSL or cable modem service than if you lived in the UK.

If you are in any rural area in the UK even 2MB/s is optimistic, top download speed we're getting here is 800kbps.
