So true.  It is definitely something I fail horribly at.

All those Oriental types should be learning to speak AMERICAN instead. It says it right in the Bible.

(this thread is very derailed)

Asianese! #$%^&!!! that's it!! I can't talk to American people anymore!!

...Seriously though, I have never learnt Chinese, but I can sometimes guess more than half of what an article on a Chinese paper say, so if you finish studying Japanese, I think you will have a big advantage in Chinese. I guess that's the good thing about ideograms.

But in a much better place than where it started smile.

I also love the diagram in the link that ファブリス posted.  Brilliant.

According to that diagram, this thread is almost finished. "Now I lay me down sleep..."

Sooooooo....

I was just wondering... have any of the African American families received reparations for being forced into slavery at gun point, having their identities stolen, their women raped, and being considered less than human, thus, being counting as 3/5 of a person, though only for political compromise.

And uh... you know who else had a hand in World War 2?

Hitla.

On a side note, the font of most of the buttons on most of the sites I visit has changed. So text field fonts have changed as well. Weird no?

While the diagram is funny, the quote is lame and nonsensical. Ignoring and screaming are both not going to work. Ignoring works for you the same way as it works for an ostrich. To get a second person to join you in ignoring requires the same efforts involved in arguing on a thread, which takes you right back to the thing you're trying to avoid.
