I know this is a site about learning Japanese, particularly with RTK. However, many of the unusual but effective techniques discussed on this forum can also be applied to other languages. So posts about other languages naturally come up quite often, and people mostly seem to be putting them in the Japanese sections. I was thinking it would be nice if there was a section about language learning in general that these posts could all go into.

Hmm are there enough to warrant creating a new sub forum yet?

Hopefully you'll get RTH up and going, then it might warrant having a Chinese section.

Hmm, there are still quite a small number, though they seem to be coming more quickly than before. I skimmed through to get a rough count. In the most recent few pages of "General" there are threads about Chinese, French, Portuguese, German, Finnish, and English. In "Community" there are threads about Chinese, Swedish, and Korean. I think there have also been some threads about language learning in general, but those are harder to look for.

I hear you! I think it's a good idea, just maybe a little early. We'll see.

Effectively the Chinese section would be a good addition soon or later.

As for other languages, some of those topics probably belong in the "Community" forum.
