Where do you usually download Japanese subtitles for J-movies and J-dramas?

I found some Japanese subtitles for some J-dramas in d-addicts.com

I know that dramanote has many scripts for many series, but they are not in any known subtitle format (just script without timing, and sometimes not exactly the same as the audio dialogue)

I am looking for Japanese subtitles for movies like Ichi (the woman Zatoichi).

There are some subtitles in opensubtitles.org, but I want to know, where do you go usually if you want Japanese subtitles?

Unfortunately Japanese subs are really hard to find...I think maybe it would be could if fansubers could release the Japanese subs as well. Surely it wouldn't be too hard to replace the english with the Japanese script...

By far the best site for Asian movies subs is kloofy http://www.kloofy.net/ you'll need to register.
Don't know if there are drama subs as i'm not into dramas.

I suggest to check the Asian Cinema Forum at www.acfmovies.com
It's been my reference site for years!

Unfortunately kloofy seems to specialize in english subs ("NOPE! Non-english subs for asian movies can ONLY be uploaded to the FORUM and ONLY if NO ENGLISH SUBTITLE EXISTS!" -- from their FAQ) sad Might find a few but yeah...

In Kloofy and similar websites there are English subtitles for Japanese movies, not Japanese subtitles.

Surely it wouldn't be too hard to replace the english with the Japanese script

Yes, I think the best option currently is to download English subtitles for J-dramas and replace the English text with the Japanese one from dramanote.

Oh sorry, i thought you meant english subs, my fault! You're right, there are no or very little Japanese subs on Kloofy.

However, several movies released on acfmovies have japanese subs, in this case they are released as .idx/.sub

I was actually looking for a site the other day that would have JP subs for  some movie (my jp friend requested), but I ran out of luck

I think reading jp subs are pretty good actually, for movies and stuff you know well etc.

http://www.opensubtitles.org/en is built for exactly this purpose. If you've ripped the DVD or have downloaded a version from a popular release group then they should have what you're looking for.

There are japanese subs for Ichi and a couple other Japanese movies if you search for CiELO (just plug CiELO in http://torrentz.com search and you'll see all their different releases).

Thank you very much pubbie. I found the Japanese subtitles in CiELO releases.

Actually, I want to SRS Ichi and Departures. They are the last J-movies I watched.

I don't have problems with idx/sub format. The most important thing is timing. I can OCR (or retype) them if I want.
