Just wanted to mention a book a friend of mine introduced to me that looks good for learning JLPT2 kanji: 例文で学ぶ漢字と言葉

I was looking at the 2kyuu edition.  What I like about this is that it teaches kanji & vocab by example sentences (similar to Kanki in Context or 2001 Kanji Odyssey), only they order the kanji by On reading groups (like RTK2 I guess).

I find it quite easy going, as I've already been through a lot of 2001KO, but I find it good to fill in JLPT2 kanji that aren't included in 2001KO.

Amazon.jp has some example chapters here: http://www.amazon.co.jp/例文 … gy_b_img_b

In total there are 107 chapters that average around 35 example sentences each, and it claims to cover all the 2kyuu kanji & 2920 kanji words.

This book has the same author as "Kanji in Context". It seems to be a simpler version, aimed at the JLPT.

Yeah, you're right.  It's a more recent book; KiC was 94 and this one is 05.
